WHAT YOU ARE SUPPORTING

  Non-Toxic: Prop 65 compliant, phthalate free oils, no additives or dyes, and no paraffin wax (Paraffin wax is a product of petroleum refining and when burned, can release toxins into the air like acetone and benzene. Those are the same chemicals found in diesel fuel emissions and known to cause cancer, allergies, asthma and skin problems).

  Zero Waste: Plastic free, long burning (for 12-13 hours) and leaving virtually no waste behind (When your candle is completely burned down, you can reuse the glass jar like for cotton swabs).

 Giving: Having a strong respect and appreciation for their community, Enlighten works with local artisans and non-profits. In 2018 they collaborated with Whole Foods Malibu where a portion of the candle's proceeds were donated to those affected by the wild fire.

HOW TO USE & CARE

Simply lighten you candle and enjoy. Then, between lightenings flick or cut off the tip of the wick. It is made of a cotton and paper blend and naturally curls. Through cutting, the flame stays smaller and smoke free.

Julianna Lyddon is a life coach who has worked for over a decade empowering clients to recognize their gifts. Out of this practice, Enlighten Candles was born. Self taught, she created candles filled with magic and clean ingredients that bring the ancient practice of candle making and ceremony into your home.

Enlighten Candles Arizona is now a family owned, women operated company that embodies mysticism and eco-consciousness. It is their mission to provide the highest quality candles with the longest burn time and the best scent throw with Mother Earth in mind. That is why they are hand poured in small batches.

The recipe Julianna created, through lots of trial and error, are based on complex layers of aromas, making each one unique and memorable. Julianna believes these candles are a beautiful token for spreading love and empowerment.

They are using as many sustainable materials and manufacturing methods as they can and encourage to upcycle and reuse the candle glasses.

A bit about their soy wax:

There can often be confusion about both GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) and GMMs (Genetically Modified Material). Because more than 95% of the US soybean crop has been genetically modified and is considered GMO, it is difficult and extremely cost prohibitive to secure non-GMO soybeans for use in the production of soy wax candles.

In GMO soybeans, it is the DNA located in the protein of the soybeans that is genetically modified, but not the oil. The wax they use is GMM free because even though the oil may have come in some part from GMO soybeans, their supplier uses a process to remove the GMO material.
